The Search for Wellness Care

The Search for Wellness Care

We have often heard the word wellness for years, but have you thought what wellness means to you?

The Merriam Wester’s dictionary defines wellness as the quality or state of being in good health especially as an actively sought goal.

Have you thought how that relates to you?

For me, it means being in balance physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It means not being dependent on medication, like over the counter drugs to start or continue my day. It means being able to play with my son and have the energy to go on during the day.

Yes, all the above includes having chiropractic care in my life. Why? Because it made a difference in my life, and I know it will make a difference in you. Chiropractic care should be essential when we want to have a wellness lifestyle. When our nervous system is connected it functions optimally and it does make the difference in all our activities of our daily life. The chiropractic adjustment restores proper nerve flow to allow your body to function optimally.

Wellness is a journey; it is making everyday lifestyle changes to improve ourselves. The wellness journey is thinking everyday about what changes we can make to keep improving our health and sooner than later, you will get into wellness.

Ask yourself these questions to start moving towards a wellness mindset and lifestyle:

  1. How much water I am drinking? Is it enough for my body? Am I drinking more beverages other than water? Can I eliminate soda, fountain drinks, processed juices, or energy drinks out of my diet?
  2. How much coffee I am drinking? Is it a moderate amount or am I drinking too much?
  3. How active I am? Can I squeeze in 20 min of working out 3 times a week?
  4. How is my diet? Can I eat more greens, fruits and vegetables in my diet?
  5. Have I stretched today? Have I been sitting for too long?
  6. When was the last time my nervous system was checked? Am I keeping up with my chiropractic adjustments?
  7. Is there anything I would like to do, and I am not able to do? Is there anyone I can communicate this feeling with?
